Piercebridge is a sleepy village nestled on the banks of the River Tees on the border of Yorkshire and County Durham. A restored coaching inn, it has beautiful gardens and views of the river. The rural retreat offers tranquility and history as it is said to be the place in the 1880?s that Henry Clay Work wrote the song about the Grandfather clock which is situated in the hotel. With roaring fires and a northern charm it is the perfect getaway.

Many of the rooms boast river views with peacefulness in a rural setting the perfect setting for a nights sleep. Being a 16th century building each bedroom is individual, they all offer quality linen and free internet access with complimentary tea, coffee and biscuits.
